Understanding Full and Partial Dentures

According to the National Institute of Dental and Craniofacial Research (NIDCR), 3.75% of adults aged 20 to 64 in the United States are completely edentulous. On average, this age group has 24.92 remaining teeth out of the total 32 permanent teeth.

Dentures are an effective solution to replace missing teeth and restore oral function and appearance. Depending on the case, dentures can replace a few missing teeth or all teeth in the upper or lower jaw. Beyond restoring a natural smile, dentures support the natural contours of the face, eliminating the “sunken” appearance caused by missing teeth.
